During the second, warmer half of the winter, hikes in higher Alpine regions are recommended - as shown here on the Dachstein. Starting point is the Mountain station of the Dachstein gondola on an altitude of 2700 m. Destination Dachstein: The Dachstein Sky Walk looms majestically on an altitude of 2700m. the viewing platform was built above a cliff face with a vertical drop of 250m, it weighs 40 tons and has enough room for 150 guests. A new glass bottom grants impressive views looking straight down the rock face. Just as impressive is the panorama over hundreds of kilometres on clear days.
